The policy is a monthly renewal insurance policy written in the name of the Young Driver, to provide insurance protection whilst learning to drive in a parents or friends car thereby protecting the policy of the owner of the vehicle.
It is a secondary policy and must not be used as the primary insurance policy.

Online learner driver car insurance quotes on a short term basis. The only level of cover available is full comprehensive with the option of a one month, two month or a three month policy. The primary function of this policy is to allow a provisional licence holder to learn to drive in their parents or on their friends car that already has a motor insurance cover in place.
If there is a claim whilst the learner driver is driving the vehicle, the claim will be be dealt by the learner drivers insurance policy, not the parents car insurers.
The learner car insurance product is available for vehicles up to ABI group 16 with a value of up to a maximum of £20,000.
A condition of the learner driver policy is that the learner driver must be accompanied by a driver that is over 25 years of age and must hold a current full UK licence for at least three years. The driver accompanying the provisional licence holder does not need to be the owner of the vehicle.
IMPORTANT: There will be no cover in force from the date and time you pass your driving test. Please ensure that you have adequate motor insurance in place before using any vehicle on a public highway.
We do not currently offer a 1 week learner driver insurance cover. Our short term learner driver policy is available on a comprehensive policy for one month, 2 or 3 months. Can we insure a learner driver for 1 day? Again the 1 day learner insurance policy is not available. The minimum period is 1 month on all our temporary learner driver policies.
